Being a sweet romance author wasn’t something I planned. A few years ago, an author friend told me to focus on the books I want to write. I’d been dragging my feet trying to write the third book of a women’s fiction trilogy, and I realized she was right.

And now I’m writing the books I love! While I like to think of myself as a full-time sweet romance author with a side gig as a school librarian, it’s actually the other way around. (It’s all about mindset, right?) Between books, I’m also a proud mom of two grown kids, a grandma to two wonderful little humans, and a dog mom to Jessie and Belle—my loyal, lovable fur babies who often steal the spotlight at home.

Being an Author

Writing has been a lifelong passion of mine. I started journaling back in sixth grade and haven’t stopped writing after that, even if I didn’t call myself a “sweet romance author” for a long time.

For years, writing was that quiet thing I tucked away, something I returned to when life allowed. Only recently did I give myself permission to claim the identity that had always belonged to me. Now, I proudly declare myself a sweet romance author who believes in love, hope, and happily ever afters.

My students love reminding me that their librarian is also an author. They’ll come into the library asking about my characters or wanting to know if I’ll ever set a story in Indiana. Their enthusiasm has been one of the sweetest surprises of this journey. I love showing them that dreams can evolve—that it’s never too late to start something new or chase something that lights you up.

My Inspirations

I live in small-town Indiana where community and connection are a part of everyday life. That sense of togetherness inspires the fictional setting of my Sunrise Beach series.

The coastal setting was born from my own love of beach trips. The ocean has always felt like a second home—a place that resets my soul and stirs up new story ideas every time I visit. One day, I hope to spend even more time there, camping in my van and soaking up the sounds, colors, and slower pace that define life by the water.

My dogs, Jessie and Belle, are my constant writing companions as a sweet romance author. They’re the inspiration for the loyal animal sidekicks that appear in my stories—because honestly, what’s a cozy romance without a furry friend or two to bring the characters together? My stories are filled with the things I hold close: family, friendship, small-town charm, and of course, enduring love.

The first book in my Sunrise Beach series, Mending Hearts, releases in March 2026, and I couldn’t be more excited to introduce readers to this world as your favorite sweet romance author.
