August is almost over. Today is the last day. And what have I accomplished this month?
Honestly, I think this has been my most productive month in a while. I’m not feeling as worthless as I wrote about in my last post.
So, what have I done? Well, let’s take a look at the three ways I was most productive this month.
Decisions in August
I’ve made some important decisions this month. The most important one I’ve made is deciding to take a course on marketing courses or memberships I create.
Since I’m a former English teacher and an author, I’ve thought about creating writing courses in the past. I just wasn’t sure how to do it.
I had taken a blogging course back in the spring, and the same couple who did it are doing this course. I participated in a five-day challenge last week and learned how to create the course or membership for my website.
This week, I’ll learn how to market it once I’ve created it. I’m ready to learn how to do this!
And I hope if you’re a writer or author, you might be interested in taking my course—grammar. I know we could all use a refresher.
Outline for Second Chances
After months of trying to figure out the perfect ending to my women’s fiction trilogy, I finally finished the outline. It was such a relief when the ideas came one night. The only bad part was I was ready to go to bed.
But when an idea strikes, you know you have to write it down, right?
I’ve even started writing a little bit of it. I would like to have this book published by the end of the year, but we’ll have to see.
Social media posts
If you follow me on Facebook or any other social media, you may have noticed I’m posting more again. That was a goal I had set for myself this month. I wanted to be more visible.
I’m trying to treat my author and freelancing more like a business as I should have done all along. After all, I hope to make this my full-time job eventually.
It’s never to late to keep pushing for new goals, right?
Final thoughts
I do appreciate the comments I received on my last post. It meant a lot to me knowing I’m not alone in the way I felt—whether you’re a writer or do something else.
So, for September, you’ll continue to see me post here and share new books as I get them. I will be shifting my Fiverr book gigs to this website and my editing gig to my Beach Girl Publishing website.
I’ll be working on both websites to make the most out of them. I’ll be working on the grammar course and hopefully be able to start marketing it by the end of the year.
And I’ll be working on that book so I can relaunch the first two books of the trilogy as well as it by the end of the year.
What’s one goal you have that you would like to achieve by the end of the year? Let me know in the comments below!
