September: 3 Ways I Tried to be Productive This Month

September is almost over. And I’m sad. I’m not ready for fall. I feel like we barely had summer.

I spent a big part of the afternoon outside yesterday. Before the cool temperatures of the last days of September set in this week, I wanted to enjoy what I could of the last warmer day.

Honestly, I don’t mind fall, but I know the season I’m not fond of is close behind. Winter and I haven’t gotten along for several years.

And the older I get, the more I really don’t like winter much at all.

Coming to the end of September also makes me realize I wasn’t as productive as I was in August. I accomplished a couple of things, but I wish I had had the energy and time to do more.

Between the change in temperatures and the day job zapping my energy, I’m just glad I accomplished what I did.

So in what ways wasn’t I productive in September?

Blog posts

I had planned to write at least a couple of blog posts, if not more, for this website and try to get started with my Beach Girl Publishing website. It didn’t happen like I wanted.

I am in the middle of transferring my domain for Beach Girl Publishing, so I did accomplish that—a big goal, too.

I’ll be glad to get it on a self-hosted platform instead of being on the free WordPress and having advertising in the middle of my pages. That’s not great to see when the ads interrupt my text.

New course

I did start a new course through the same people I had taken the blogging course. They have created a new one called Sell That Course.

I got behind the second week, though, which has thrown me off the rest of the month. I’m only behind a week now.

I have to wonder if I’m dragging my feet because I know once I finish I’ll have to kick things into gear. I would like to get at least one course up and going before the end of the year.

And November won’t be the ideal time to work on it when I’ll have National Novel Writing Month to do plus any freelancing.

Freelance work

Speaking of freelancing, working on Fiverr has slowed down significantly the last couple of weeks. I’m not sure what’s going, but it’s so strange.

I used to get at least one order every couple of days, and in the last two weeks, I’ve had three orders from two of my gigs—that’s what the jobs are called on the platform.

The freelancing is what helps me pay for the extras so I have no idea what I’ll do if I don’t have that income.

Oh, wait. I’ll be switching everything to my two websites and marketing them a whole lot more than I already am. Marketing is not one of my strengths, but I will keep working on it.

Final thoughts

While I will continue to rest and battle my allergies and sinuses, I won’t stop working toward my goals. I’m already thinking about the next quarter, focusing on October, and have the first week of my new planner all ready to go.

I do have a question for you. What one thing do you wish you could accomplish this next month? Let me know in the comments below!
